Lightnin’ Ray & The Mystics will be playing the Davisboro Blues art exhibit at the Monarch Art Center on May 2nd.
The Mystics will be playing a stripped down set showcasing material from Somewhere In The Velvet Sky, as well as a new harmonica-infused rendition of the 2011 release “I’m Not Telling Lies Anymore.”

Atlanta’s Lightnin’ Ray & The Mystics released their debut single/video “SWEET BOY” today.
“SWEET BOY” is described by LIGHTNIN’ RAY as “T-REX meets Alice Cooper. It’s about the loss of innocence, and how the dark side of our society, or human nature in general, can turn kids into monsters who ‘got no conscious.’ Who is worth saving? Who is worth caring about?” He adds: “The video is more lighthearted. We’re just trying to have fun in the moment and enjoy ourselves. Hopefully other people will too.”
